The Volcano Art Center’s Hula Kahiko series continues at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with a performance by Po‘o Kumu Huihui Mossman with Ka ‘Umeke Ka‘eo Public Charter School.

Ka ‘Umeke Ka‘eo is a kindergarten through 12th grade Hawaiian language immersion and culture public charter school in Keaukaha. Ka ‘Umeke continues to build its programs based on rigorous academic content through Hawaiian language immersion based in the Papaku Makawalu methodology. At the same time, Ka ‘Umeke focuses on insuring student success, broadening accountability measures and furthering partnerships with innovative educational programs and methodologies.

This performance is presented authentically in an outdoor setting, rain or shine, without electronic amplification. Audience members are encouraged to bring sun/rain gear and sitting mats. National Park entrance fees apply.
